I don’t know how to feel about this, because commercial-free television is so good, but the Chinese government is so evil! Why are they doing this good-seeming thing amidst all the evil-seeming things? At one point in this article, it says the government won’t allow shows that are “overly entertaining.” That has to be a translation error, right? Probably not!
I don’t know how TV stations make money in China. Wait, aren’t they Communists? Please explain geo-politics to me in the comments.
